Nordic Skating Corner

Welcome to the nordic skating corner.  We at Midwest are nordic skating enthusiasts like you!  Nordic skating conditions have been great the past few winters.  Consider giving it a try!  We know you'll like it, too!

What is nordic skating?  It is simply strapping on a pair of long ice-touring blades onto your cross country ski boots with standard cross country bindings.  It is a great way to take advantage of our 10,000 lakes!  You can have a great day's adventure with very little effort – or you can bring skate-ski poles and get a super-realistic skate-ski training session!

We've got great gear for you including;  skates, bindings, boots, poles (yes, you may use poles), ice picks, and more.  Our ski shop can mount your nordic bindings onto your skates, or sharpen your nordic skate blades.
